Facts on Matariki

The last couple of days I found out some things about Matariki that I hadn't heard before.

1. The 7 sisters parents names are Tangotango and Wainui

2. The stars are called the Pleiades
3. ( my personal favourite ) In some iwi, Matariki is just the name of the constellation, so instead of the seventh star being Matariki, it was Mereope
